🚌 By Land (from neighboring countries)

From India (Very Common): There are several border crossings:

  • Sunauli–Bhairahawa (most popular)
  • Raxaul–Birgunj
  • Jogbani–Biratnagar
  • Panitanki–Kakarbhitta

You can cross by bus, car, or even walk across, and then continue travel inside Nepal by local transport.

From China (Tibet):

  • There’s a crossing at Rasuwagadhi–Gyirong, but it's subject to political and weather conditions.
