Chhatarpur: Mass Kanya Vivah organized in Bageshwar Dham
Like every year, this time also mass Kanya Vivah is being organized in Bageshwar Dham located in village Garha of the district. This event will be held on 26 February 2025, for which the registration process has started. This year 251 daughters will be married, including 150 tribal daughters. Under the event, gold jewelry and complete household items will be provided to the married couples.
Registration process for Kanya Vivah
Submit documents: The bride and groom's side will have to reach Bageshwar Dham office with their necessary documents, where the registration will be done by submitting the documents.
Verification: After registration, the team of Bageshwar Dham will reach the house of the concerned family and do the verification.
Token number: On confirmation of eligibility, a token number of registration will be provided.
Eligibility
In mass Kanya Vivah, those daughters are married who do not have parents. In such cases, all expenses are borne by the Bageshwar Dham Committee.
Last date for registration
The last date for registration is 15 December 2024. This process can be completed only at the Bageshwar Dham office. After registration, the verification work will go on for 15 days.

Bageshwar Dham chief Pandit Dhirendra Shastri has informed that for the first time in this time's mass Kanya Vivah program, 150 tribal daughters will be married. This event is a big step towards extending help to every section of the society and promoting equality.
Material given to married couples
In this event, newly married couples will be given the necessary materials to start their household, which include:
Gold and silver jewelry: gold nails and other items.
Furniture: sofa set, bed, pillow and wardrobe.
Electronic items: TV, fridge, cooler, and mixer.
Kitchen items: Gas cylinder-stove, utensil set.
Clothing: Lehenga for the bride and suit for the groom.
Special gifts: Gathjoda pillar, Ramcharitmanas and Balmukund.
Pandit Shastri said that the purpose of this event is to get the daughters of economically weaker families married without any burden. Mass Kanya Vivah strengthens social cooperation and harmony.
It is worth noting that under the 151 mass Kanya Vivah program organized in February 2024, a motorcycle was provided to each married couple. However, there has been no clear announcement yet as to whether motorcycles will be given this time or not.
